Info: A recording of my set at Out To Grass for Phil & Lara's magnificent 10 year anniversary weekend party on sat. I only have half of the 3 hour set due to not starting the recorder early enough & it running out of space, but it does now fit on a cd 🙂
This set was the first time i had used my new s8 & it was so good to be back on a proper mixer again after using the s4 for the last 4 years!
I had 5000 of my best house, breaks and techno in 5 playlists after a chat about what they wanted but had no idea about what i was going to play - hoping to be able to be led by the crowd. It felt like a real return to that essence of djing for me & made all the difference! Audience dictated where the set went (which was way more techno based than anticipated), i got to mix up all kinds of breaks, house and techno til 4am, & it's a shared experience i'll never forget.

I was djing in between the acts so didn't record the evening, but opted for a mix of cinematic electronic downtempo (1st half) to seqway between the acts, and more warm downtempo stuff (2nd half of mix) to create nice ambience when people were networking and feeding back. Seemed to work nicely and was a really inspiring evening all round. Probably the first time ive ever djed sitting down too 🙂

I only recorded this one take which never got submitted as i got really ill literally the day after recording it - and it required a youtube vid submission. But nevertheless it's a sound im loving at the moment and features some wicked artists like My Nu Leng, Stephan Bodzin, & Pearson Sound in there.

Info: A recording of my closing set from the debut Hologram event at Zephr Lounge in Leamington on friday 21/10/2016. Amazing night on a quality rig, with 2 excellent djs and a dancefloor full of good vibes. Plus a huge lazer and really responsive technician! The audience gave off so much energy i did venture a fair bit heavier in places than i had in mind tbh, and a couple of us had issues with monitoring over the p.a so ended up playing a lot of my new techno tracks and not trying any sample content like i had been practicing, but that said, the response of the whole night was wicked, and i've invested in some some in ear monitors for all future gigs 🙂
