The 4th Narrative mix explores a journey of a creative spirit with a soundtrack that features many tracks that have greatly inspired me on the deep drum & bass and jungle tip.
I've tried to keep it in line with the rest of the Coming Home series and still keep the dynamics of the Narrative, but it could sit equally in the Going Out section too. The vocals of the tracks are somewhat expressive in terms of my own creative path and so i haven't used any samples aside from a small snippet from the inspiration for the mix from Iran Glass (which i found via this poster below)
Like the other 3, ive been more exploring the theme, i guess in quite a broad sense, although there is a very clear narrative, which in my head is quite visual and filmlike with a shifting point of view . I purposely wanted to try and create one more set with just the music and vocals mainly to see if i could, as i've spent the last month creating a system of samples and acapellas to use with the next phase of mixes, and to see if what i'd been working on in terms of my music organisation system worked as well for the Narrative stuff as it did for the multi genre side.
